Star Wars Will Not Be “Disneyfied” Says Disney, Abrams

Yes, there are people who were worried that Star Wars could be made even “cuter” by Disney.  Well, looks like that’s not going to happen.  When questioned about the possible “Disneyfication” of Star Wars, Episode VII director JJ Abrams had this to say on PBS;

“The beauty there is Disney doesn’t want that. They are well aware of this and they are very careful to make sure that…they are sensitive to that. They don’t want that at all, that’s the last thing they want. But that company, which is Marvel, they have…it’s incredible the scale of that company. They are as aware of that as anyone.”

Abrams went on to discuss the phony “Trek vs Star Wars” wars and his first meeting with Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy.

And speaking of Kathleen Kennedy, the word on the street is that Kennedy and George Lucas have been in meetings with Daniel Day Lewis over a possible part  in the upcoming Star Wars film.

Sounds pretty cool to us.
